Finance Assistant Manager/Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a hands-on and experienced Finance Manager to oversee end-to-end finance operations, including financial reporting, reconciliations, payments, month-end closing, and international tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions. The role will drive automation and AI-powered process improvements, support FP&A activities, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support business growth. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in E-Commerce, FMCG, or cross-border trading environments, with expertise in multi-currency operations, financial consolidation, and team leadership within a fast-paced global business environment.

• Manage and inspire a finance team to oversee end-to-end financial processes, ensuring excellence in payments, collections, and month-end/year-end closing activities.

• Lead the implementation of AI tools and automation to streamline high-volume data reconciliation, expense management, and financial reporting.

• Identify and execute continuous process improvements and enhancements in internal controls, transforming manual workflows into scalable, automated systems.

• Responsible for the reviewing of all reconciliation schedules, journals, payment listings, audit schedules, group reporting package, and management reports prepared by the team.

• Manage complex international tax requirements, including Singapore GST, US Sales Tax, CA GST, and EU VAT reporting, while ensuring compliance with cross-border regulations.

• Build and support the FP&A team to provide data-driven insights for budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.

• Liaise with external auditors, corporate secretary, bankers, and tax consultants when required.

• Work closely with operations and other departments to resolve daily financial hurdles and align finance goals with business growth.

• Assist in new processes and system implementation when required.

• Perform ad-hoc and administrative duties as and when assigned.

We are seeking people who are:

• Degree in Accountancy or CA/CPA qualification with at least 6 years of experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.

• Knowledge of XERO accounting system and advanced Excel bonus points if you have experience deploying AI-driven accounting software or RPA tools.

• Deep experience in E-Commerce, cross-border trade, or FMCG is a must.

• Proven track record in managing financial consolidation for companies with physical inventory across multiple jurisdictions.

• Well-versed in managing multi-currency environments and the complexities of international fund settlements.

• Possess strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to leadership-you aren't afraid to dive into the data while keeping the big picture in mind.

• Ability to multi-task and thrive under the pressure of tight deadlines within a fast-paced, global trading environment.

• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights for non-finance departments.
