Key Responsibilities
Accounts & Finance Operations
- Handle full set or partial sets of accounts (AP, AR, GL)
- Process invoices, payments, and receipts accurately and timely
- Prepare bank reconciliation and monthly financial reports
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing
Project Costing & Budgeting
- Monitor project budgets and track construction costs
- Work closely with Project Managers on cost allocation and reporting
- Prepare cost reports and highlight variances
Accounts Payable (AP)
- Verify supplier invoices and ensure proper documentation
- Process progress claims, subcontractor payments, and staff claims
- Maintain proper records of all payables
Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Prepare customer invoices and progress billings
- Follow up on outstanding payments and ensure timely collection
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations
- Maintain proper filing and documentation for audit purposes
- Assist with GST submission and tax-related matters (if applicable)
Administrative Support
- Support audits and liaise with external auditors
- Assist in financial data entry and reporting
- Perform ad hoc duties as assigned
Requirements
- Diploma / Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- 1-3 years of relevant experience (Construction industry experience is an advantage)
- Familiar with accounting software (e.g., MYOB, SAP, QuickBooks, or similar)
- Good knowledge of Excel
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Able to work independently and meet deadlines
