Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Accounts & Finance Operations

  • Handle full set or partial sets of accounts (AP, AR, GL)
  • Process invoices, payments, and receipts accurately and timely
  • Prepare bank reconciliation and monthly financial reports
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing

Project Costing & Budgeting

  • Monitor project budgets and track construction costs
  • Work closely with Project Managers on cost allocation and reporting
  • Prepare cost reports and highlight variances

Accounts Payable (AP)

  • Verify supplier invoices and ensure proper documentation
  • Process progress claims, subcontractor payments, and staff claims
  • Maintain proper records of all payables

Accounts Receivable (AR)

  • Prepare customer invoices and progress billings
  • Follow up on outstanding payments and ensure timely collection

Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations
  • Maintain proper filing and documentation for audit purposes
  • Assist with GST submission and tax-related matters (if applicable)

Administrative Support

  • Support audits and liaise with external auditors
  • Assist in financial data entry and reporting
  • Perform ad hoc duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Diploma / Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience (Construction industry experience is an advantage)
  • Familiar with accounting software (e.g., MYOB, SAP, QuickBooks, or similar)
  • Good knowledge of Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Able to work independently and meet deadlines
