Job Description

Job Title:Finance & Documentation Executive - Commodity Trading (Minerals &Metals)

Job Summary:
The Finance & Documentation Executive is responsible for managing financialoperations and trade documentation within a commodity trading environment,specifically in minerals and metals. The role requires strong attention todetail in contract review, Letter of Credit (LC) documentation, pre-shipmentprocesses, and full-cycle accounting using Zoho Books.

KeyResponsibilities:

1. Contract & Trade Documentation

  • Review and verify customer contracts to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with agreed commercial terms.
  • Handle and prepare Letter of Credit (LC) documentation in coordination with banks and trading partners.
  • Conduct thorough pre-shipment document checks (e.g., invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, inspection reports).
  • Ensure all trade documentation complies with international trade regulations and contractual obligations.

2. Financial Accounting

  • Maintain full set of accounts, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL).
  • Perform monthly closing of books and ensure timely preparation of financial statements.
  • Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow.
  • Record and track all trading transactions accurately in Zoho Books.

3. Reporting & Compliance

  • Prepare periodic financial reports for management review.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and audit requirements.
  • Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and schedules.

4. Coordination & Support

  • Liaise with traders, logistics teams, banks, and counterparties to ensure smooth transaction flow.
  • Support management with financial analysis and documentation-related queries.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in commodity trading, preferably in minerals and metals.
  • Strong knowledge of LC processes, trade finance, and international shipping documentation.
  • Hands-on experience with Zoho Books (or similar accounting software).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
