Finance and Administration Manager

SingAREN is seeking a Finance and Administration Manager to oversee financial management, grant administration, regulatory compliance, stakeholder engagement, and corporate operations. This role ensures strong financial governance, sustainability planning, and efficient administrative support to the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Grant & Funding Management

  • Manage research grant administration and reporting, including preparation of funding proposals, utilisation reports, communication with stakeholders and audit coordination.

Financial Planning &Sustainability

  • Perform budgeting and financial sustainability forecasting to support strategic decision-making.

Financial Reporting & Compliance

  • Liaise with accountants and auditors on the preparation of management accounts and audited financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements (e.g. IMDA, IRAS).

Stakeholder & Account Management

  • Manage stakeholder engagements, including customer account management, service renewals, and co-funding arrangements with partners.

Procurement & Contract Administration

  • Support procurement processes, including tender administration and contract documentation.

HR Management

. Manage payroll and personnel recruitment matters.

  • Provide guidance and support to staff handling finance and administrative functions.

Corporate Administration and Events

  • Lead the planning and coordination of corporate events, such as the Annual General Meeting for SingAREN's members, hosting of local and international partners visits, and networking events.

Requirements

. Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related discipline

. At least 3 years of relevant experience in finance management, grant administration, and regulatory compliance

. Competent in financial reporting and budgeting

. Ability to manage multiple workstreams across finance and administration

. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

. Strong interpersonal, leadership, and people management skills with a positive and collaborative mindset

. Excellent communication, analytical and problem solving skills

. Detail-oriented, well-organised, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

. Experience working with public funding agencies, external accountants and auditors preferred


This is a contract position on a renewable basis.
