Finance & Admin Executive (Town Council)
The incumbent is responsible for managing full spectrum accounting functions including accounts payable and receivable, GL maintenance, bank reconciliation, month end and year end closing, financial reporting support and audit coordination within the TC environment.
Beyond transactional responsibilities, the role provides opportunities to:
- Strengthen financial governance and internal control practices
- Support budgeting, fin analysis and compliance requirement
- Partner with operational department on finance matters
- Drive process improvements and system enhancements
- Develop stakeholder management skills in a public service setting
With experience, the role can progress toward increased ownership of financial reporting, budget management, audit management, and team supervision, building capability toward a senior executive or finance leadership position.
Requirements
- A recognized Bachelor's degree in Accounting, ACCA or its equivalent.
- Preferably with at least 2 years of relevant finance and accounting experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Knowledge in tableau or other data analytics tools (e.g. ACL, IDEA, Power BI, etc) will be an advantage.
- Good organisational and interpersonal skills with ability to interact effectively with multi-disciplinary colleagues at all levels
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
- Ability to maintain and ensure confidentiality
