Job Summary

Seeking a finance and strategy professional to drive global travel business growth through financial planning, analysis, and strategic partnership.

Business Overview

This role supports the growth of the Global Travel business through business planning and financial analysis as the team expands into international markets. The position partners closely with management to drive topline growth and improve business performance by analyzing data, forecasting trends, and developing strategic models to support budgeting and informed decision‑making.

Department Overview

The Global Travel Department was established six years ago to capture growth opportunities in the travel industry outside of Japan. The team has since expanded from 10 members to over 30, covering key markets across Asia. The department comprises diverse functions including eCommerce, digital marketing, finance and strategy, legal, and content management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare weekly and monthly management reports for the global travel business.
• Develop and manage annual budgets and periodic forecasts to support business planning.
• Conduct financial and performance analysis by country and distribution channel to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Act as a business partner to country managers, providing insights and recommendations to support market growth.
• Support management decision-making through data analysis, forecasting, and strategic financial models.
• Drive the agenda, preparation, and follow-up for monthly business reviews and quarterly business review (QBR) meetings.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders including business leaders, market teams, and supporting functions.

Requirements

• 2-4 years of relevant experience in strategic planning, management consulting, corporate finance, or related roles.
• Japanese language proficiency required for effective communication with Japanese-speaking clients and stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical and financial modelling skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
• Proven ability to work as a business partner with cross-functional and regional stakeholders.
• Proficiency in English for liaising with English-speaking clients and stakeholders, both written and verbal (business level TOEIC score of 800 or above or equivalent).
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage senior management.
• Experience supporting multi-country or international businesses is an added advantage.
