Finance & Compliance Manager(Individual Contributor)

About the Role
ACEN Renewables is seeking a Finance & Compliance Manager to support the effective operation of our Singapore and Hong Kong investment entities through hands-on execution of accounting, tax, and statutory requirements. This role is designed as a hands-on individual contributor position, well suited for a technically proficient finance professional who takes pride in personally delivering high-quality outcomes in a dynamic, multinational environment.
You will partner closely with senior management and the business development team, providing sound technical guidance on investment structures and joint ventures to support the Group's growth in the renewable energy sector.
In addition to financial responsibilities, this role will also support general administration for the Singapore office, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
Core Responsibilities
1. Financial Accounting & Reporting
. Manage monthly/quarterly/year-end close, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
. Develop cash flow forecasts and working capital plans across entities and JV structures.
. Coordinate annual financial audits manage external auditors and audit deliverables.
. Establish and maintain accounting policies, SOPs, and internal control frameworks drive process improvements and automation.
2. Taxation - Singapore & Hong Kong
. Prepare ECI and review corporate income tax computations prepared by external tax agents,
. Handle withholding tax on cross-border payments (services, interest) verify and substantiate treaty eligibility
. Maintain Transfer Pricing documentation (master/local files) support intercompany pricing for services.
. Track and document Foreign Sourced Income (FSI) remitted into Singapore assess and substantiate exemption eligibility with audit-ready files
. Support BEPS Pillar Two GloBE data collection, ETR calculations, and readiness assessments
3. Statutory & Regulatory Compliance-Singapore & Hong Kong
. Prepare XBRL, ensure timely Annual Returns filing with ACRA
. Coordinate statutory filings for HK entities with Corporate Secretary maintain statutory records and resolutions
4. Business Partnering
. Partner with the Business Development team to provide tax and financial due diligence for new investments and joint venture structures.
. Advise management on tax exposure of deal structures - PE risks, WHT implications, FSI considerations, interest limitation rules, and TP impacts
5. Office Administration (Singapore)
. Handle general administrative operations including office facilities, vendor management, supplies, and insurance renewals
What We Are Looking For
Qualifications, Experience & Attributes
. Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent and 5-8 years of experience in regional accounting, tax, and statutory compliance
. Solid understanding of Singapore and Hong Kong regulatory landscapes (IRAS, ACRA, IRD) and cross-border taxation
. A technically sharp professional who enjoys taking full ownership of complex compliance tasks in an individual contributor capacity.
