Job Description

Our client, a Japanese company specializing in the manufacturing and sales of pastries and sweets, is currently looking for a Finance & Accounting Manager.

This role will be responsible for overseeing regional finance management functions, including statutory audit coordination, preparation of group consolidation reports, and handling transfer pricing matters. The company is seeking a candidate who can lead and strengthen the finance and accounting department.

Responsibilities
- Oversee the full spectrum of finance and accounting functions for the Singapore entity
- Lead and manage the finance and accounting team
- Provide financial management support to subsidiaries in Taiwan and Indonesia
- Prepare financial reports for group reporting to headquarters in Japan
- Prepare financial data and documentation for group consolidation
- Liaise with external auditors for the Singapore statutory audit
- Manage intercompany transactions (e.g., royalties, management service fees, product exports)
- Handle transfer pricing documentation and related matters
- Review and improve financial reporting and accounting processes

Requirement

Requirements & Preference

(Must)
- Diploma or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Fluent in English to effectively communicate with counterparts
- At least 5 years of hands-on finance and accounting experience in a corporate environment in Singapore
- Hands-on experience in preparing consolidated financial statements and managing month-end closing for the Singapore entity
- Experience liaising with external auditors
- Experience handling finance for group companies or overseas subsidiaries
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, SFRS / IFRS, and cost accounting
- Financial analysis and reporting skills
- Strong data processing skills, especially using Excel
- Understanding of intercompany transactions
- Ability to organize and improve financial reporting and accounting processes
- Capable of managing group finance, including overseas subsidiaries
- Able to work effectively in an international business environment
- Hands-on approach to executing accounting operations

- Experience handling transfer pricing matters
- Experience in manufacturing or F&B industry
- Possess working experience in Japanese companies
