Job Description

Sir Manasseh Meyer International School is seeking an experienced and proactive Finance & Administration Manager to join our team on an 8-month maternity cover contract, with the possibility of an extension based on the school's operational needs.

This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys working in a dynamic school environment and is capable of managing both financial operations and administrative oversight.

Accounts Receivable

  • Manage student billing and fee collection processes.
  • Generate statements of accounts, and send payment reminders to parents.
  • Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on overdue payments.
  • Liaise with parents regarding payment matters, and financial queries.
  • Maintain accurate records of all collections and receivables.

Accounts Payable

  • Process supplier invoices, staff claims, reimbursements, and payments accurately and on time.
  • Ensure all supporting documentation and approvals are properly obtained.
  • Maintain vendor records and coordinate with suppliers regarding payment matters.

Cash Flow& Banking

  • Monitor daily cash flow and school bank balances.
  • Prepare bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Coordinate online banking transactions and ensure proper financial controls are followed.

Financial Reporting

  • Prepare monthly financial reports and management accounts.
  • Assist with budget tracking, expenditure monitoring, and variance analysis.
  • Support leadership with financial data and reporting requirements.
  • Maintain accurate accounting records in compliance with school policies and Singapore regulatory requirements.

Audit & Compliance

  • Support annual audit preparation and liaise with external auditors.
  • Ensure compliance with financial procedures, internal controls, and statutory requirements.
  • Assist with CPF submissions, IRAS matters, and other regulatory filings where required.

Financial Assistance

  • Administer financial assistance programmes and maintain confidential student financial records.
  • Monitor subsidy allocations and ensure accurate application to student accounts.

IT Operations & Support

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of IT team of the school.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for IT-related matters within the school.
  • Coordinate with external IT vendors and service providers for technical support and maintenance.
  • Ensure timely resolution of IT support requests from staff and administration.

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Relevant experience in finance and administration, preferably within an educational environment.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and Singapore statutory requirements.
  • Experience handling accounts receivable, accounts payable, budgeting, and audits.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in accounting systems (SAGE 300) and Microsoft Office applications.
