Finance Account Officer (Maternity Cover - 6 Months)

DP World is looking for a detail-oriented finance professional who enjoys keeping things accurate and organized. The Accounts Officer will be a part of our APAC Regional Finance team, and the successful candidate will be supporting day-to-day accounting operations and partnering closely with colleagues in the Singapore office. Reporting to the Director Finance, APAC, you will support in managing invoices, payments, and reconciliations to ensure smooth financial operations.

This is a 6-month maternity cover contract position.

Key Accountabilities:

• Invoice processing: Review, verify and accurately enter invoices into the accounting system, ensuring correct matching with purchase orders and GRNs.
• Payments & cash management: Schedule and process vendor payments, monitor cash flow levels, and help avoid late fees or payment disruptions.
• Intercompany recharges: Prepare and manage intercompany recharge invoices, including follow-up on AR collection.
• Account reconciliation: Reconcile vendor statements with company records, resolving discrepancies and outstanding balances.
• Record keeping & reporting: Maintain accurate AR/AP records and support monthly reporting on accounts payable status.
• Stakeholder collaboration: Work closely with the Accountant, Purchasing Officer, regional stakeholders and external vendors to resolve queries and support smooth operations.
• Expense management: Process employee expense claims and ensure accurate, timely reimbursement.
• Ad-hoc duties: Assist with other finance tasks and continuous process improvements as required.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• Minimum Diploma in Accounting (or equivalent).
• 2+ years experience in a similar accounting or Accounts Officer role.
• Solid understanding of accounting processes, especially Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (e.g. basic formulas, reconciliations, reporting).
• Experience with Oracle Fusion is an advantage.
• Meticulous, organised, and high attention to detail.
• A process improvement mindset always looking for ways to work smarter and more efficiently.
