Job Summary
You will perform installation, service, maintenance, and repair of marine, electrical, mechanical, chemical, and structural equipment in various challenging outdoor and marine environments. You will also integrate and commission instruments and computer devices, plan maintenance schedules, and support remote access applications.
Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on installation, service, maintenance, and repairs of equipment and instruments in outdoor fields, canals, underground, confined spaces, underwater, and marine coastal environments
- Work safely onboard vessels, workboats, canals, underground sites, rivers, and field locations
- Integrate instruments and computer devices by programming, setting up, configuring, testing, and commissioning remote access and control applications
- Calibrate instruments and apply knowledge of chemical reagents to ensure accurate measurements
- Plan and schedule maintenance activities and prepare detailed product service, analysis, and maintenance reports
- Respond to ad-hoc assignments as required, demonstrating flexibility and problem-solving skills
- Participate in standby duties and work outside regular hours, including weekends and public holidays, to support operational needs
- Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve project goals and maintain safety standards
Required competencies and certifications
- Relevant educational qualifications in Marine, Electrical, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering (Degree, Diploma, ITE, or NITEC)
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Positive attitude with initiative and ability to work independently
- Willingness to perform fieldwork in diverse and challenging environments such as outdoor sites, vessels, underground, canals, and coastal areas
- Confidence working in marine environments
- Self-driven and motivated with critical thinking skills
- Team player mindset
