Specialises in providing on-site installation customer support and performing diagnoses, troubleshooting, service, and repair of complex equipment and systems. Performs feasibility and approves operational quality of system equipment. Provides customers with assistance with the operation and maintenance of the system.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs client-site servicing, repair and/or installation of company product(s).
- Provides technical support to customers on operational or maintenance aspects of system equipment.
- Serves as customer contact on technical and service related problems.
- Diagnoses mechanical, hardware, software and systems failures using established procedures.
- Determines most cost effective repair/resolution to minimize customer downtime.
- Prepares reports for analysis of product failure trends and service ability issues.
- Job Complexity: Semi-routine Assignments, requiring independent action and initiative. Makes recommendations for solutions/procedures.
- Required Supervision: Helps determine methods and procedures for new assignments. May act as a facilitator and team leader.
- Skill / Knowledge: A skilled specialist who contributes to the development of concepts and techniques. Completes tasks/assignments in creative and effective methods.
