Position Overview
The Field Service Technician will be responsible for performing installation, troubleshooting, servicing, and repair of our lighting systems and indoor farming equipment. You will work closely with customers, project teams, and engineering staff to ensure systems are well-maintained, safely operated, and performing at optimal levels.
This is a practical, hands-on role suitable for individuals with a technical background or strong interest in electronics, electrical systems, mechanical servicing, or equipment maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform installation, servicing, troubleshooting, and repair of horticulture lighting systems and indoor farming equipment.
- Conduct on-site inspections, functional tests, and preventive maintenance.
- Provide clear communication to manage customer expectations and ensure service satisfaction.
- Uphold and promote workplace safety standards at all times.
- Maintain service tools, instruments, spare parts, and proper service records.
- Identify recurring issues and provide feedback to engineering teams for improvements.
- Support project and operation teams on equipment setup and site work when required.
- Carry out any other ad hoc duties assigned by supervisors.
Requirements
- Secondary education with 1-2 years of hands-on repair or technical servicing experience preferred.
- ITE / Diploma in Electronics, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Automotive or related disciplines are welcome to apply.
- Fresh graduates with technical training and strong interest in field servicing are also encouraged to apply.
- Preferably possess a valid Class 3 Driving Licence (for site visits and customer support).
- Basic understanding of electrical or mechanical repair tools and processes is an advantage.
- Strong responsibility, initiative, and willingness to learn.
- Able to work independently, perform site-based tasks, and manage time effectively.
