Job Summary
The Field Service Engineer (FSE) supports customers by troubleshooting and resolving issues with VAT products onsite and remotely, ensuring high customer satisfaction through timely, professional service and effective communication.
Responsibilities
- Provide timely, professional customer support to resolve issues and enhance efficiency of VAT products
- Troubleshoot and respond promptly to onsite service requests and customer inquiries with professionalism and commitment
- Acknowledge and follow up on customer requests, internal communications, and assigned tasks within agreed timelines
- Maintain discipline in managing emails, updating service records, and completing accurate service reports promptly
- Report work status and coordinate activities effectively with internal teams and customers
- Keep service manager and relevant teams informed on onsite activities, service progress, completion status, and next steps
- Submit clear, accurate field service reports including findings and corrective actions within 24 hours after service completion
- Demonstrate a positive attitude, professionalism, and effective communication when interacting with customers and internal stakeholders
- Collaborate closely with team members and support departments such as Quality, Product Group, and FAE on product feedback, field issues, and customer requests
- Continuously develop technical skills and improve service quality to meet evolving customer needs
