Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on customer equipment and systems according to established procedures and service schedules
- Diagnose technical issues and implement effective solutions to minimize equipment downtime
- Install, configure, and commission equipment at customer sites in compliance with safety standards and technical specifications
- Conduct routine inspections and safety checks to identify and address potential issues
- Maintain accurate records of service activities, maintenance work, and technical findings for client and internal reporting
- Communicate technical findings to customers, recommend appropriate solutions, and provide guidance on equipment operation
- Manage spare-parts inventory and ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained for field-service activities
- Respond promptly to service calls and emergency requests to resolve critical equipment issues
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and field operations
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or a related engineering discipline
- Relevant experience as a Field Service Engineer, Service Technician, or in a similar field-based technical role, preferably within the life sciences, manufacturing, or industrial equipment sectors
- Strong technical knowledge of equipment installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair
- Able to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, equipment manuals, and service documentation
- Possess a valid driving licence and reliable transportation, as frequent travel to customer sites is required
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and service technologies would be advantageous
- Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders and scaffolding, and use the required personal protective equipment (PPE)
