Job Summary
Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and servicing of portable gas detectors and safety equipment, ensuring operational reliability and customer satisfaction in industrial environments.
Responsibilities
- Perform start-up, contract maintenance, preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, service logging, and warranty repairs for gas detectors and related equipment.
- Conduct inspection, testing, servicing, repair, and functional verification of gas detection and associated safety equipment.
- Diagnose equipment faults, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions independently to minimize downtime.
- Respond promptly to breakdown calls and emergency service requests to ensure timely resolution and optimal equipment turnaround.
- Manage assigned service orders from initiation to completion, coordinating with Service, Logistics, and other departments to ensure timely fulfillment.
- Liaise directly with customers and stakeholders to communicate technical issues, service requirements, equipment status, and delivery schedules.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior service personnel or technicians as needed.
- Participate in service projects, equipment improvement initiatives, emergency response activities, and other technical assignments as required.
- Communicate technical findings and recommendations clearly to customers and internal teams.
- Fulfil Workplace Safety & Health responsibilities and actively participate in relevant safety activities as required by the company.
Position Requirements
- Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Process Instrumentation, or Mechatronics Engineering
- 5-10 years of experience in service or engineering roles within the Oil & Gas or Process industries
- Hands-on experience with instrumentation equipment and instrument measurements
- Experience in the marine industry (advantageous)
