Job Summary
- Maintain and troubleshoot hardware and infrastructure supporting a mission-critical Command & Control (C2) system.
- Provide system maintenance and support to ensure high levels of reliability, availability, performance, and security.
- Work as part of a dedicated engineering team supporting critical operational environments.
Key Responsibilities
Warranty Administration
- Maintain accurate warranty records for installed hardware.
- Assist in warranty claim administration and coordination with vendors/subcontractors.
- Inspect repaired components and verify serviceability.
- Perform integration, configuration control, and testing of repaired hardware.
Corrective Maintenance & Field Support
- Perform corrective maintenance activities for hardware failures.
- Restore systems to operational status within SLA requirements.
- Monitor and maintain system availability and reliability metrics, including:
- Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF)
- Mean Time To Repair (MTTR)
- System downtime records
- Hardware defect tracking
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware-related issues in production environments.
Field Testing & System Validation
- Conduct software and system testing following bug fixes, patches, and deployments.
- Validate system functionality after software upgrades and maintenance activities.
- Ensure correct system configurations are loaded before testing and production use.
- Support deployment verification and acceptance testing activities.
Spares Management
- Manage inventory of spare parts, test equipment, and maintenance tools.
- Perform receiving, issuing, storage, and disposal activities.
- Conduct serviceability checks on spare components.
- Coordinate repair and replacement of faulty spare equipment.
- Monitor end-of-life (EOL) and end-of-support (EOS) status of hardware assets.
Preventive Maintenance
- Execute preventive maintenance activities according to approved schedules and procedures.
- Perform system inspections, calibration, servicing, and configuration verification.
- Follow approved maintenance checklists and standards.
- Prepare and submit preventive maintenance reports upon completion.
Calibration Services
- Coordinate with vendors for calibration of maintenance and test equipment.
- Ensure calibration schedules are maintained and equipment remains compliant.
General Duties
- Support operational readiness and system availability requirements.
- Perform additional technical and operational duties as assigned.

Requirements

- KVM Systems
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience supporting mission-critical environments with stringent SLAs (e.g., 99.9% availability).
- Strong understanding of ITSM standards, processes, and best practices.
