Environmental Conditions

Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance, Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, Cleanroom: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair etc... allowed, Office, Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.)

We are seeking a highly skilled and field-oriented Hardware Installation Specialist to support the deployment of single-use equipment systems (up to 5,000L). This role combines hands-on installation expertise with process standardization and knowledge development, ensuring consistent, high-quality system implementation across customer sites.

The ideal candidate will play a critical role in executing installations, troubleshooting hardware issues, and capturing best practices to develop scalable training and documentation for internal teams and customers. The candidate will also perform installation quality inspections to ensure adherence to global standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support on-site installation, setup, and commissioning of single-use equipment systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Field Service, Engineering, Product Management, and Customers) to ensure successful system deployment
  • Co-Develop, document, and continuously improve installation best practices, SOPs, and technical guides
  • Create training materials and field enablement content (e.g., manuals, videos, checklists) with training management team.
  • Identify and drive improvements in installation efficiency, safety, and reliability
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and system integration issues during installation and early operation. Maintain a list troubleshooting issues that can be fed back into the design and product management teams.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to field service engineers and partners
  • Support pilot installs, beta systems, and new product introductions (NPI)
  • Capture and communicate field feedback to engineering and product teams to influence product design improvements
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
  • Perform installation quality inspections on site or remotely to ensure all system deployments meet global standards and best‑practice requirements.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Biomedical, or related) or equivalent hands-on experience
  • 3-7+ years of experience in equipment installation, field service, or process equipment support
  • Experience working with bioprocessing equipment, ideally single-use systems or large-scale bioreactors
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with complex hardware systems
  • Willingness to travel globally up to [75%+] as required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Direct experience with single-use bioreactors (SUBs) or upstream bioprocessing systems
  • Experience developing technical documentation, SOPs, or training materials
  • Familiarity with GMP environments and biopharma manufacturing requirements
  • Knowledge of fluid handling systems, sensors, and control systems
  • Experience supporting global installations or working in diverse customer environments
