Field Service Coordinator - Singapore

Overview

Candidate will be a key member in KVH's Global Service Team working to coordinate new equipment installations and repairs on board ships in APAC based out of Singapore

The ideal candidate may have experience working for a Fleet Manager or a Maritime hardware supplier coordinating projects/services on vessels.

Responsibilities

Coordination of equipment installations:

Work with Customer and KVH's professional services team to identify

  • Equipment list to be installed
  • Installation scope of work
  • KVH service partner who will perform on board work
  • Measures to assure installation quality

Communicate installation plan to ship owner or management company

Assure equipment is sent to installation prior to the commencement of work

Act as escalation point for any problems encountered during an installation

Secure post install documentation and file as appropriate

Route information required to invoice customer and pay service partner

On Board Equipment Repair:

  • Assure replacement parts are sent to the port where service will be provided
  • Contract with local service partner for required installation work
  • Assure service records are updated to reflect repair event
  • Determine whether service event is covered by warranty and invoice customer as appropriate
  • Route information required to pay KVH service partner for work performed

Service partner training administration:

  • Help coordinate service partner training events when scheduled
  • Process participant training certificates
  • Update training records in a database

Qualifications

Education Requirement:

Minimum of a Diploma or relevant vocationally oriented degree. Ideally candidate will be a graduate of a bachelor or academy profession program in business or engineering.

Language Requirement:

Fluent in English, both written and verbal, for working with customers internationally

Additional language(s) is a plus

Required Computer Skills:

Customer Relationship Management System - Sales Force ..

Microsoft Office Suite
