Field Engineer

Work location: Changi Airport

We are seeking a hands-on and responsible Field Engineer to support our projects on-site. The role involves installation, testing, and maintenance of equipment/systems, as well as coordinating with contractors and workers to ensure tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and on time. You will be the key technical point of contact at the worksite, bridging between the engineering team and field operations.

Key Responsibilities

-Carry out installation, commissioning, and maintenance of systems/equipment at customer or project sites.

-Conduct troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance to ensure smooth operation.

-Supervise, guide, and arrange workers/contractors to perform assigned tasks effectively.

-Ensure work is carried out according to project schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements.

-Provide technical support and training to site workers as needed.

-Document installation and maintenance activities, prepare service reports, and update project progress.

-Coordinate with the engineering/project management team for resource planning and issue escalation.

Qualifications

-Minimum Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.

-Fresh graduates are welcome experience in field service or site supervision is a plus.

-Basic knowledge of electrical/mechanical systems and tools.

-Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to work on-site in different environments.

-Good communication and leadership skills to coordinate workers and subcontractors.

-Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.

Preferred (Good-to-Have) Skills

-Experience in site installation, cabling, or system integration.

-Familiarity with safety standards and site procedures.

-Knowledge of project coordination or resource scheduling.

-Possession of a valid driving license and willingness to travel.

-Proficiency in English and Chinese to facilitate communication with vendors in China.
