Job Description

A regional office of a European semiconductor group is looking for a Field Applications Engineer, specializing in digital imaging (infrared, low-light visible, ultraviolet). This role supports customers and works closely with sales and engineering teams to deploy and optimize imaging solutions across industries such as industrial inspection, defense, surveillance across the APAC region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide pre and post-sales technical support including RMAs
  • Work with sales to understand customer needs and recommend solutions
  • Delivery product demos, PoCs and technical presentations
  • Support system integration, calibration and optimization
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software and image quality issues
  • Advise on thermal imaging data and best practices
  • Create application notes, guides and training materials
  • Conduct on-site installation, commissioning and support
  • Share customer feedback and market insights with R & D
  • Support testing and validation of new products

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering or a related field
  • 6-8 years of experience in Field Applications Engineering (FAE) or technical support roles
  • Strong experience with digital imaging systems including imaging sensors and optics (infrared, visible, UV, low-light)
  • Solid understanding of thermography, heat transfer, radiometry and spectral characteristics with experience in real-world applications (e.g. predictive maintenance, surveillance, ADAS)
  • Proficiency in image processing and analysis with programming skills in Python, MATLAB, C++
  • Familiarity with industry-standard camera interfaces (GigE Vision, USB, Camera Link)
  • Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving and communication skills
  • Willingness to travel APAC for training and work

Working Details

  • Working: 9am to 6pm (Mon-Fri)
  • Salary: S$6,000 to S$8,800/month
  • Benefits: 20 days annual leaves, medical benefits, performance bonus
  • Location: Sin Ming Lane
