Responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance and support to customers and channel partners across the region, from enquiry to post-deployment support.
- Deliver product walkthroughs, technical workshops, and on-site/virtual training to uplift users application know-how.
- Configure motion control systems at customer sites, including commissioning, parameter tuning, and servo performance optimisation.
- Support pre-sales activities by proposing suitable technical solutions, conducting demos, and addressing application feasibility.
- Collaborate with customers to design and implement tailored motion applications for specialised use cases.
- Diagnose system issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive timely resolution to minimise downtime.
- Work with internal teams to relay field feedback and contribute to continuous product and solution improvements.
- Maintain technical documentation, application notes, and best-practice guidelines to support customer success.
Requirements:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related engineering discipline.
- At least 2 years of experience as a Field Application Engineer or Application Engineer roles supporting motion control systems, industrial automation solutions, robotics, or high-precision equipment.
- Solid fundamentals in control systems, servo drives, motors, and power electronics, with hands-on system integration exposure.
- Comfortable with basic programming or scripting (e.g. Python, C/C++) for application development and troubleshooting strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable with business travel around APAC and to HQ.
