Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the technical subject matter expert on Harwin's connector product range.
  • Support customers in design-in activities, including connector selection, compatibility assessments, and technical feasibility.
  • Ability to understand a customer's needs and probe for answers, and then determine a solution and advocate that solution to the customer
  • Collaborate with sales and distribution teams to deliver customized connector solutions that meet customer requirements.
  • Conduct product training, technical workshops, and on-site support across Asia-Pacific.
  • Respond to customer technical enquiries and coordinate with the UK engineering team for complex issues.
  • Provide feedback on market needs and technical trends to assist in product roadmap development.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations, product demos, and documentation.
  • Attend industry trade shows and customer visits to promote Harwin's capabilities.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and provide tailored recommendations
  • Work closely with suppliers to gain in-depth knowledge of their product portfolios and technological advantages.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, and share this knowledge with the team to drive continuous improvement
  • Liaise with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery and customer satisfaction

What We're Looking For:

  • Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a technical support or field application engineering role, preferably in the electronics or technology industry
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve complex technical issues
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and testing equipment
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations
  • Process with own car, mobility to travel to customer sites
  • Willingness to travel regional to support overseas team and customers.
