Feedstock & Biofuel Trader

This role is responsible for the commercial trading and sale of various waste-based feedstocks — including used cooking oil, animal fats, palm-based residues, and other sustainable raw materials — across relevant global markets. The trader will manage the full trade lifecycle from origination through delivery, working at the intersection of sustainability compliance, physical logistics, and dynamic commodity pricing.

Job Description:

. Identify, develop, and manage buyer relationships across global biofuel markets. Execute sales of waste-derived feedstocks, securing competitive pricing and reliable offtake.

. Manage all trade documentation including contracts, letters of credit, bills of lading, certificates of origin, COAs, and sustainability certificates. Ensure full compliance with counterparty and regulatory requirements.

. Coordinate closely with plant operations to align production scheduling, stock availability, and quality specifications with trading commitments. Act as the commercial interface between factory and customer.

. Plan and manage the full logistics chain — vessel nomination, freight booking, port coordination, and delivery scheduling — ensuring on-time, cost-efficient shipment to global destinations.

. Monitor relevant commodity price benchmarks (CBOT, Platts, Argus). Develop pricing strategies and apply appropriate hedging or contractual protections to manage price, basis, and FX risk.

. Ensure all trade activity conforms to RED III (EU Renewable Energy Directive) and US Renewable Volume Obligation (RVO) requirements. Monitor regulatory developments and advise on their commercial impact.

Requirement

. 2–5 years in agri-commodity or feedstock trading

. Full end-to-end trade flow: contracts, docs, settlement

. Strong grasp of feedstock & biofuel market dynamics and pricing drivers

. Working knowledge of RED III and US RVO frameworks

. Clear, confident communicator across internal teams and external counterparties

. Proactive and structured approach to execution and problem-solving
