Job Description

Thesuccessful candidatewill manage the Messaging Environment of OCBC Bank and work towards deliveringinitiatives related to a SaaS environment and build a Centre of Excellence around messaging and collaboration services and related components. Working collaboratively with technology teams, the candidate will help to drive operations and automation to accelerate product delivery and to ensure consistent and stable services. They will ensure Messaging Environment is correctly operated ensuring Security and Stability. As SE of Messaging Services, you will be responsible for day-to-day BAU operations and activities.

Your role will involve ensuring the systems are upgraded, maintained, and implementing best practices in managing the Messaging Infrastructure. You will be responsible to ensure the Messaging infrastructure is monitored, and any issues are identified proactively, thereby reducing service availability impact.Your role would require you to explore and envision the cloud journey through Office 365, or related technologies and implementing them in the bank, ensuring all bank compliance and control policies are met.

Must-have Skills:

  • Strong knowledge and hands on experience in applications of Microsoft Exchange servers, Office 365 Exchange Online and its components, and have strong experience in email messaging design, implementation, best practises, and baseline requirements to ensure secured messaging's services to the business.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in configuring and administrating Microsoft Exchange services and Office 365 Exchange Online, such as Transport and rules, Information Right Management (IRM), Exchange Online Protection (EOP), Exchange users/group management, messaging tracing, Sender Protection Framework, DKIM Signing, DMARC etc.
  • Good exposure to Microsoft Purview (Compliance) and knowledge in Data Loss Protection, Information Protection, Records Management and Privacy Risk Management.
  • Ability to assist in defining, maintaining, and monitoring compliance to Microsoft Exchange Server and Office 365 Exchange Online, and its related components on security and software policies for the business.
  • Good hands-on experience in PowerShell and batch scripting for Microsoft Exchange server and Office 365 Exchange Online.
  • Working experience in ITSM environment, Incident/Change/Problem management etc.
  • Able to work independently and as a strong team player with minimal management supervision.
  • Identify opportunities to innovate and enhanced service delivery.


Good to have Skills.

  • Experience in Financial Services industry would be a plus.
  • Positive Attitude and able to manage stakeholder expectation.
  • Experience in project delivery such as Microsoft Exchange upgrade, emails migration, decommission etc.
  • Relevant Microsoft Certifications would be a plus.
  • Relevant certifications on Public Cloud would be a plus.

Knowledge, Soft Skill & Abilities

  • Excellent communications skills, with the ability to explain complex technological ideas and concepts in a way that is understandable to a non-technical audience.
  • Exceptional teamwork and excellent interpersonal and communication / information sharing skills with sense of responsibility, attention to detail and proactive management as well as strong situational analysis and decision-making abilities.
  • Outstanding Analytical Skills and Decision-making skill.
  • Good experience in documentation and document management
  • Extensive experience, collaborating with vendors, professional services, and providers.
  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science or Technology Management.
  • Relevant 8 Years of experience in administrating, troubleshooting and root cause analysis of Microsoft Exchange 2013, 2016 and 2019 and related messaging components in a multi email domains environment.
  • Relevant 4 years of experience in Office 365 Exchange Online management such as Azure AD/, Azure AD SSO for cloud applications, etc.
