About the Role
The Failure Analysis Technician will perform electrical and physical failure analysis (FA) on semiconductor devices, support FA laboratory operations, prepare samples, and assist in developing new analysis techniques. The role requires strong hands-on experience with FA tools, safe chemical handling using PPE, and collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform electrical and physical failure analysis on semiconductor devices
- Prepare samples and execute FA workflows to identify defect mechanisms
- Support development and optimization of FA techniques and methodologies
- Operate, maintain, and calibrate FA laboratory equipment
- Collaborate with Process, Product, Design, and Test Engineering teams for root-cause investigations
- Document analysis results and prepare detailed technical reports
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic/Materials Engineering or related field (preferred)
- 1-3 years of hands-on FA experience in semiconductor environment
- Experience with FA tools such as SEM, EDX, FIB
- Knowledge of CSAM, X-ray, emission microscopy, or laser fault isolation is an advantage
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and reporting skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
