About the role

As the Failure Analysis Manager (Hard Disk Drive, Leadership) you will play a pivotal role in leading the failure analysis efforts for hard disk drive (HDD) products. This full-time, permanent position is based in the West Region and will involve overseeing a team of engineers to ensure the highest standards of quality and reliability.

What you'll be doing

1. Manage a team of failure analysis engineers to investigate and resolve complex HDD failures
2. Develop and implement robust failure analysis processes and procedures to identify root causes of issues
3. Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to drive continuous improvement
4. Provide expert technical guidance and training to upskill the team
5. Prepare comprehensive failure analysis reports and present findings to key stakeholders
6. Stay abreast of industry trends and technologies to enhance the company's failure analysis capabilities

What we're looking for

1. 8+ years of experience in failure analysis, specifically in the hard disk drive industry
2. Strong technical expertise in electrical/electronic engineering, with a deep understanding of HDD design and manufacturing
3. Proven leadership skills in managing and developing high-performing teams
4. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking abilities
5. Effective communication and presentation skills to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences
6. Master's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field
