The Factory Manager shall report to the Director, Ops & Engineering in headquarters. He/She is responsible in executing direction, strategy, planning, and delivery of the company's cigarette manufacturing activities in Indonesia. He / She shall assist and support the business unit owner and cross-functional units on continuous improvement, manufacturing operations plans, goals etc.
The role shall oversee, manage, plan, delegate, and ensure factory productivity and actualize production plans are maintained at optimum level. Managing Leaders/Line Managers/HODs in respective teams such as Quality, Production, SCM, Engineering and EHS, from start of production to schedule delivery/acceptance globally etc.
- Oversee daily activities in plant operations in accordance with customer demands. Make recommendations for continuous improvements and, ensure responsiveness to customer complaints with root cause analysis and corrective actions completed
- Responsible for assuring that all manufactured products are made in accordance with prescribed Process Descriptions and in accordance with the Quality Management System (QMS)
- Ensure facility compliance with all regulatory requirements. Drive adherence to safety policies and procedures across the organisation.
- Establish and adhere to a production plan and schedule and to keep OPEX and CAPEX on yearly budget. Agile to the change of business environment and adjust Opex or Capex accordingly.
- Work closely with HR for the development of talents and enlarge the talents pool in the factory.
- Having continuous improvement mindset and always strive for better equipment efficiency. Optimized the manufacturing cost, improve products quality, on time delivery of finish goods and ensure safety.
- Responsible for overall factory finance, P&L, budgeting and CAPEX.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, , Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering with at least 5 years of experience in managing a factory (prefer with cigarettes manufacturing experience), background in manufacturing process and manufacturing engineering
- Demonstrates proven track record of Manufacture management, Technical, Product and Process Expertise, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficient in the use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Organized and demonstrates good Leadership Management Skills
- Proven Management with similar managerial trade production experience in Multiple Project Management with strong planning, organization, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated success in a highly collaborative environment with excellent written and oral bilingually effective and good communications skills.
- Demonstrated experienced running manufacturing facilities
- Demonstrated experienced design process flow in the factory
- Proven ability to reduce manufacturing unit cost and increase contribution to gross margins.
- Good level of liaison skills and ability to meet deadlines and targets.
- Good team-work skills actively involve colleagues across the business, builds the benefits of collaborative working.
