Job Description
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Factory Automation Specialist to design, implement, and support advanced automation solutions in a manufacturing and warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with RFID systems, automation technologies, and integration of hardware/software solutions to optimize operational efficiency and drive Industry 4.0 initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Design and deploy RFID solutions using Zebra FX Readers, Zebra MotionWorks, and related technologies.
Implement and maintain BLE and UWB tracking systems for asset and personnel management.
Integrate and manage Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) such as Geek+, Standard Robots, and similar platforms.
Configure and support Ubisense, HID, and other location-based systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize warehouse processes and manufacturing workflows.
Ensure seamless connectivity and integration with networking basics and Linux/Unix environments.
Troubleshoot and maintain automation hardware/software systems.
Drive Industry 4.0 initiatives, including IoT integration, smart factory solutions, and data-driven automation.
Document processes and provide clear written and verbal communication to stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 3-5 years of experience in factory automation or industrial IT solutions.
Strong knowledge of RFID technologies, Zebra solutions, and FX Readers.
Experience with BLE, UWB, and real-time location systems.
Familiarity with AMRs (Geek+, Standard Robots) and warehouse automation.
Understanding of networking fundamentals and Linux/Unix systems.
Knowledge of warehouse and manufacturing processes.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Preferred Skills
Experience with Ubisense, HID, and advanced tracking systems.
Exposure to Zebra MotionWorks and integration with ERP/WMS systems.
Basic scripting or automation skills in Linux environments.
Knowledge of Industry 4.0 technologies, including IoT, smart sensors, edge computing, and data analytics.
