As the Facilities Tool Install Engineer, you will be responsible for supervising and implementing the site plan and design for all Manufacturing tool install activities and cleanroom preventive/corrective maintenance program. It should also include the space planning of facilities utilities that routes from system to individual tool location. You are directly involved in equipment installation projects or non-routinely maintenance activities pertaining to the process tools. You will handle and coordinate with contractors to ensure tool-install activities are completed meeting safety, quality, schedule and budget requirement. This position requires a sophisticated understanding of the construction's function of assigned projects, materials, tools, proactive site coordination and good safety approach in the project execution.
Adhere to company's environmental safety health policy and procedure, standard operating procedure with risk assessment, good housekeeping standard and policy when performing work
Ensuring implementation of systems and procedures required to attain department goals and objectives
Handling resources as important to achieve desired goals and objectives
Detail understanding of design philosophy/concept of Facilities utilities systems to manufacturing production tools
Plan and implement equipment hookup for new, conversion, unhooking and relocation tools, to meet high quality standard, dynamic schedule and forecasted budget
Plan, track and update utilities database to support manufacturing production tools
Plan and supervise capital and expense expenditure related to tool install
Review and approve equipment hookup drawing
Lead all tool install contractors site work activities to comply EHS related regulations, risk assessment, safe work procedures and permit to work system
Manage hookup project schedule and manpower assignment
Coordinate with equipment engineers to finalize utilities release schedule and special requirements
Perform utilities and cleanroom system fixing, conduct compressive root-cause analysis and implement effective CA/PA to prevent re-occurrence
Lead and develop for continual improvement of documentation in Standard Operating Procedure, Risk Assessment and Installation procedure
Lead outsourced contract service provider to performance work activities in accordance to service agreement
Control costs associated with your area minimizing regular expenditures and promote cost reduction projects
Ensure all materials and manpower ordered are needed and used to complete activities
To perform site activities in accordance to Facilities field
Coordinate MOR/Funding cycle/CCM new tool scenario study based on tool location and technical specification, coordinate with Planning IE/Layout team and Facilities system owners to evaluate utilities base build projects and cost impact required for the new tool
Drive continual quality improvement, reliability improvement and cost reduction programs for tool-install activities to support department, site, Facilities global goals
Support Facilities global tool-install, site wide tool-install cost reduction, BKM, 18 packages scope alignment and 30/20/10 program
Bachelor's or advanced degree in Engineering or Science is required
Design and Engineering background of mechanical system such as HVAC system, Exhaust system will be of good advantage
Familiarity with sustainability efforts (electricity, waste, water reduction) is a plus
Ability to perform automation using MS Office suite, Excel VBA is a plus
Strong analytical, logical, and critical thinking skills
Effective communicator, able to collaborate across all levels
Growth mindset with a passion for continuous learning
Internship or experience in the semiconductor industry is a plus
Demonstrated leadership and a track record of impact are highly desirable
Interest in and knowledge of the semiconductor industry and Micron is preferred
