Job Summary
As a CBRE Facilities Manager, you will manage a team responsible for providing overseeing building operations and maintenance for a facility, campus, or portfolio of small to medium sized buildings.
This job is a part of the Facilities Management functional area which focuses on all aspects of the operations of a set of assets, providing support to the Client regarding all operational matters.
What You'll Do :
Operation & Maintenance:
- Coordinate and manage facility repairs and maintenance by working with technicians, vendors, and contractors.
- Oversee PPM works where required.
- Maintain positive client relationships and conduct meetings on unresolved facility issues.
- Perform facility inspections for quality assurance following local regulations; suggest operational efficiencies, repairs, and upgrade opportunities.
- Manage environmental health and safety procedures for facilities.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues which may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes.
- Prepare and manage capital projects, operating budgets, and variance reports.
- Oversee vendor relationships and invoicing procedures. Review price quotes for the procurement of parts, services, and labor for projects.
- Ensure the cluster consistently passes the Performance Measurement System (PMS).
- Interpersonal skills required to manage disagreements with the Superintending Officer (SO) regarding monthly performance scores, where the SO's decision is final.
- Manage the timely submission of all payment claims (within 30 days of completion) and quotations to ensure the account receives payment on time and avoids fee deductions.
Leadership & Reporting
- Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement.
- Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor training and development, conduct performance evaluations, and oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees
- Apply knowledge of own discipline and how own discipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.
- Schedule and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed. Conduct process and procedure training on maintenance, repairs, and safety best practices.
- Responsible for the preparation and submission of comprehensive Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, and Yearly reports, ensuring accurate tracking of staff/department deadlines.
- Submit incident reports within 24 hours of any safety or security lapse.
What You'll Need :
- Minimum Degree in Built Environment / Facilities Management / Engineering or relevant discipline.
- At least 5 years of relevant working experience with a proven management / supervisory background.
- A strong team player with proven people management skills; demonstrates high professional integrity by maintaining an objective, neutral, and collaborative approach to all workplace interactions and decision-making
- Basic financial knowledge.
- Strong knowledge of M&E systems and general building maintenance.
- A collaborative leader with strong people management skills; demonstrates integrity by remaining impartial and focused on operational outcomes in all team and client interactions.
- Preferably with CFME Tier 3 accreditation
- Candidates who possess their own vehicle will have an added advantage.
- Strong computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office (e.g Excel / Powerpoint / Word)
- Strong client focus with a passion for delivering excellent customer service with strong attention to details.
- Results-oriented with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention preferred.
- Ability to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department.
