The Facilities Management Manager is responsible for leading and managing the overall maintenance, operations, and security of the company's facilities, buildings, and retail outlets. This role oversees preventive maintenance programs, vendor and contractor management, workplace safety compliance, tenant relations, and facility improvement initiatives to ensure operational efficiency and business continuity.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee the overall repairs and maintenance across the company's facilities, buildings, and retail stores
- Put in place preventive and corrective maintenance plans to maximize asset lifespan and minimize operational downtime.
- Oversee the management, maintenance, and enhancement of all security and surveillance systems, including CCTV, Biometric Access Control, Intruder Alarm Systems, and other security infrastructure.
- Ensure regular inspections of CCTV systems in company buildings and retail outlets are conducted to allow security and operational efficiency.
- Manage building cleanliness and housekeeping operations, including supervising cleaning teams, ensuring all premises consistently meet company hygiene and presentation standards.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with contractors, service providers, and vendors, ensuring all maintenance and repair works are executed efficiently, within budget, and in compliance with company standards.
- Manage tenant relations for company-owned facilities, addressing maintenance and repair requests while ensuring compliance with lease agreements.
- Handle facility audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews to ensure adherence to workplace safety regulations, statutory requirements, and building compliance standards.
- Prepare and oversee departmental budgets, cost control measures, maintenance reporting, and operational documentation to support effective decision-making and resource planning.
- Collaborate with senior management and cross-functional departments to support business expansion projects, renovations, and facility improvement initiatives.
Job Requirements
- Diploma in Facilities Management, Building Services, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in facilities management, with prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) with strong administrative and organizational skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to maintenance and operational issues.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to liaise with vendors, contractors, and internal teams.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to lead and motivate staff effectively.
- Knowledge of workplace safety regulations and building compliance standards is a plus.
