Responsibilities
- Develop and implement regional Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) policies and training programs to enhance workplace safety and compliance
- Conduct risk assessments and safety audits to identify hazards and ensure adherence to ISO 45001 standards and local regulations
- Investigate incidents thoroughly and lead corrective and preventive actions to mitigate future risks
- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities for regional facilities, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety systems
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors to manage repairs, upgrades, and sustainability initiatives effectively
- Lead safety awareness programs, emergency response planning, and drills to prepare teams for potential emergencies
- Prepare detailed safety and facilities performance reports and maintain comprehensive audit and compliance documentation
Required competencies and certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Occupational Health & Safety with exposure to regional or multi-site operations
- Proven hands-on experience in facilities management and maintenance oversight
- Strong knowledge of OHS regulations, ISO 45001 standards, and building systems
