Facilities Management Engineer / Data Centre Engineer

Facilities Management Engineer / Data Centre Engineer is required to handle Data Centre setup and migration to ongoing operations and optimization. The incumbent is required to handle engineering work in building, design Data Centre facilities. Incumbent must be proficient in handling mission critical environments such data centres, disaster recovery, and business continuity sites.

Responsibilities:

• Involved in handling Data Centre maintenance, managing of operating equipment, troubleshooting and facility safety & security checks.
• Strong involvement in handling emergency response, documenting procedures, and performing maintenance tasks.
• Handle incident response & risk management managing risk and response to outages.
• Heavily involved in Data centre facilities management.
• Experience in handling Data Centre uptime, security, and efficiency of critical IT infrastructure by managing power, cooling, security, and maintenance.
• Involved in handling calls and emails in a prompt manner.
• Perform planned preventive maintenance (PPM) / Reactive Maintenance (RM) / Service order (SO) to minimize equipment downtime.
• Work as a team to monitor and perform facility inspections and report on condition affecting operations.
• Performs repairs, maintenance and installation.
• Conduct routine monitoring and spot checks of all building equipment and systems.
• Involve in Company s Emergency Response team (ERT), first aid and environmental health & safety (EHS) activities.

Requirements:

• Strong in handling Data centre facilities management.
• Experience in managing Data Centre uptime, security, and efficiency of critical IT infrastructure by managing power, cooling, security, and maintenance.
• Experience in handling Data Centre repairs, maintenance and installation.
• Strong in handling first level troubleshooting / root cause isolation / recovery action.
• Experience in handling mechanical and electrical field / engineering & building services industry (preferred)
• Good in handling Documentation of standard operating procedures / Checklist of equipment Tasks
• Able to read architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical as built (preferred)
• Able to commit to 12hrs rotating shift work that includes day, night and weekends
