To support the maintenance and repair of production machinery, equipment and company facilities to ensure smooth and safe operations in the food manufacturing environment.
A. Machinery & Equipment Maintenance
- Assist in performing routine preventive maintenance on production machinery and processing equipment
- Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair mechanical issues on machines such as mixers, conveyors, packaging lines, pumps, ovens and other plant equipment
- Support equipment calibration, adjustments and performance checks
- Ensure proper documentation of maintenance activities, parts replacement, and machine downtime
B. Facilities and General Maintenance
- Carry out repairs and maintenance of company fixtures, fittings, utilities and building facilities (e.g. lighting, plumbing, shelving, doors)
- Assist in installation, setup or relocation of factory equipment or utilities
- Monitor condition of tools, equipment and facilities to ensure safe and efficient operation
C. Safety, Compliance & Housekeeping
- Follow workplace safety guidelines, lock-out/tag-out procedures and equipment isolation practices
- Ensure all maintenance work complies with food safety standards (ISO, FSSC) and internal hygiene requirements
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the maintenance workshop and work areas
D. Reporting & Coordination
- Report equipment issues, breakdowns and potential risks to the Supervisor promptly
- Update maintenance logs, service records and work orders accurately
- Coordinate with production teams to minimize disruption during maintenance work
Work Hours:
- Full-time: Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM
- Standby required for Saturday overtime. Off-in-Lieu provided
Job Requirements
- Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or related engineering fields
- 2-5 years hands-on experience in machinery maintenance, preferably in food production or manufacturing
- Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical and/or automation systems
- Able to lead small maintenance tasks and independent work assignments
- Experience with ISO, FSSC and food safety compliance is a plus
- Liaise with external vendors for all preventive maintenance and repair works
- Mechanical and technical troubleshooting skills
- Basic electrical knowledge (advantage)
- Ability to read mechanical drawings/manuals
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Attention to detail and safety awareness
- Ability to work overtime when required
- Factory production environment
- Requires standing, lifting, bending and use of tools/equipment
- May involve work in cold rooms
- Occasional weekend or after-hours maintenance work
