About the Role:
This role reports to the General Manager and is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day maintenance operations and processes of the coldroom and food production facility.
The successful candidate is expected to take a hands-on approach to managing maintenance activities, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead the maintenance team to ensure the ammonia and Freon refrigeration systems are operating safely, reliably, and efficiently
- Maintain and repair machinery & equipment ensuring forklifts, fleet of freezer trucks, food production equipment, entire factory M&E are operating optimally including modifying, retrofitting and engineering to resolve problems
- Liaise with vendors and contractors on repairs, replacement or servicing to ensure proper job completion including monitoring the maintenance contracts expiring and contents.
- Support company's ISO22K and HACCP program and certification.
- Manage and oversee the fire alarm system and safety standards.
- Review all impending purchases and service reports from production and factory-related facilities and analyse together with GM before awarding contracts/purchases to suitable contractors.
- Support the management of company's IT infrastructure.
- Other job functions include fire safety & risk officer, and project management.
- Risk management and maintain the company's BizSAFE certification.
- Manage security contractor.
Key Requirements (About You):
- Diploma in engineering, administration or facility management
- Minimum experience of 5 years in a supervisory role
- Possess BizSafe Certification
- Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical and chiller systems
- Familiarity in drafting and understanding blueprints and schematics
- Effective communication and people management skills
- 5.5 days work week and available to work standby duties when required
