Who We Are Looking For

At this stage of our business we are looking to grow strategically, and are focused on seeking out individuals in every department of the company who are passionate, sharp, initiated and willing to take on challenges to help drive the business forward together as a team. We are now searching for a highly-skilled Facade Drafter to support projects of every scale, contribute to Synergraphic's growth and help us maintain our position as an innovative authority. The ideal candidate will have technical experience in such projects to deliver on our projects.

Your Responsibilities Include

• Obtain and assemble data to complete glazing designs, work with our site team to compile measurements as necessary
• Draw rough and detailed scale plans for glazing work based on preliminary concepts, sketches, engineering calculations, specification sheets and other data
• Ensure compliance with design specifications and advise on design corrections
• Check dimensions of materials to be used and assign numbers to lists of materials
• Determine procedures and instructions to be followed, according to design specifications and quantity of required materials
• Analyse technical implications of architect's design concept, calculating weights, volumes and stress factors
• Prepare drawings for presentation to client
• Liaise with in-house departments and external consultants and suppliers to produce drawings
• Any other duties as assigned by your supervisors

Technical Skills

• Min. Diploma in any Engineering or Drafting discipline, or related disciplines
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in Glazing / Facade Industry
• Use of AutoCAD and all relevant Microsoft software
• Excellent knowledge of glazing materials and methods
• Able to read and produce technical drawings, do detailed work with great accuracy
