Fabrication Manager / Steel Structure Manager (6 days)

Company Overview

We are an established steel fabrication and construction company supporting large-scale building, infrastructure, and industrial projects in Singapore. We are seeking an experienced Fabrication Manager / Steel Structure Manager to lead and oversee overall fabrication operations, yard management, and production performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Overall management of steel fabrication operations, including cutting, drilling, welding, assembly, blasting, and painting

• Plan and control production schedules, manpower deployment, and fabrication capacity to meet project timelines

• Oversee and manage Yard Managers, Supervisors, Foremen, and fabrication teams

• Ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, WPS, ITPs, and QA/QC requirements

• Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, QA/QC, and Planning teams to align fabrication with site progress

• Monitor and control productivity, cost, material usage, and wastage

• Ensure strict adherence to WSH regulations, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices

• Oversee material control, traceability, and inventory management

• Manage fabrication risks, technical issues, and production bottlenecks

• Liaise with clients, consultants, and third-party inspectors where required

• Prepare and present fabrication progress reports to senior management

• Drive continuous improvement in process efficiency, quality, and manpower utilization

Requirements

• Minimum 12-15 years of experience in steel structure fabrication or construction industry

• Proven track record managing large fabrication yards or multiple projects simultaneously

• Strong knowledge of steel fabrication processes, drawings, codes, and standards

• Experience managing large workforce and subcontractors

• Familiar with Singapore WSH, MOM, and QA/QC requirements

• Strong leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and handle high-pressure production environments

• Experience in infrastructure, industrial, marine, or heavy steel projects will be an advantage
