Job Description

As the Retail Outlet Supervisor / Manager, you will lead the day-to-day operations of a fast-paced caf/retail environment. You'll ensure exceptional service, smooth workflow, quality standards, strong team performance, and profitable store results.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Service

  • Oversee daily store operations, ensuring efficiency, cleanliness, and adherence to brand standards.

  • Ensure consistently excellent customer service and guest satisfaction.

  • Manage opening/closing procedures and compliance with safety, hygiene, and F&B regulations (including food handling and certification requirements).

  • Troubleshoot customer concerns with professionalism and urgency.

Team Leadership

  • Recruit, train, mentor, and schedule frontline staff (baristas, servers, cashiers, kitchen assistants).

  • Conduct regular coaching, performance reviews, and team meetings.

  • Maintain high morale, staff engagement, and service culture that reflects the brand.

Sales & Business Growth

  • Drive sales and profitability through upselling, promotions, loyalty programs, and beverage/bakery pairings.

  • Monitor daily sales figures and work with leadership on forecasts and targets.

  • Support social media initiatives and local marketing efforts where relevant.

Inventory & Cost Control

  • Track stock levels manage inventory, deliveries, and wastage.

  • Coordinate with suppliers on orders for coffee, baked goods, packaging, and retail materials.

  • Maintain cost targets-labor, food, beverage, and overheads.

Quality Assurance

  • Reinforce product preparation standards and presentation guidelines.

  • Ensure consistency of beverages and bakery items served.

  • Implement customer feedback loops for menu and service improvements.

Performance Metrics (KPIs)

  • Sales targets (daily/weekly/monthly)

  • Customer satisfaction scores (feedback ratings/Net Promoter Score)

  • Service speed & order accuracy

  • Labor cost vs. budget

  • Food & beverage cost / wastage

  • Staff retention & training completion

Required Skills & Experience

Must-have

  • Minimum 2-4 years in F&B supervision/management (caf or retail outlet preferred)

  • Strong leadership and team development skills

  • Service-oriented mindset with excellent communication

  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

  • Numeracy skills for cash handling and basic financial tracking
