About The Role
- Drive the design and construction of HV systems to AirTrunk standards, exceeding Singapore regulatory requirements.
- Deliver practical, buildable HV and substation solutions across design and execution phases.
- Own HV delivery from design through to energisation, ensuring safe, on-time, and on-budget outcomes.
- Manage HV network implementation and integration with utility infrastructure and site operations.
What You'll Do
- Lead and manage HV vendors, consultants, and contractors to deliver works in line with the project programme.
- Own and drive the HV delivery schedule, coordinating stakeholders to ensure timely execution and milestone achievement.
- Drive detailed design deliverables from HV vendors in line with project specifications, facilitating technical reviews with consultants and peer reviewers.
- Provide HV technical support across design and site, resolving issues with a strong focus on risk, buildability, and practical outcomes.
- Act as the key interface with local authorities (e.g., SP PowerGrid), managing submissions, approvals, and utility coordination to meet project requirements.
- Ensure all utility interfacing, grid connection, and compliance requirements are proactively managed and aligned with the delivery programme.
- Collaborate closely with Technology, Development, Safety, Quality, and Commissioning teams to ensure alignment across all project phases.
- Manage interfaces between HV vendors and contractors to ensure smooth coordination and execution.
- Oversee site execution, monitoring progress, safety, and quality to ensure installations meet design intent and standards.
- Conduct site inspections, identify risks or deviations early, and drive timely resolution.
- Manage contract administration, maintaining clear oversight of scope, responsibilities, and deliverables across all HV parties.
- Track costs and support budget control, identifying risks, variations, and optimisation opportunities.
- Lead HV risk management across design and construction phases.
- Support testing & commissioning, energisation readiness, and handover to operations.
- Support project closeout, including punch list resolution and documentation.
What You'll Need
- 6+ years experience delivering HV projects, including full lifecycle execution of substations (66kV and below).
- Strong experience in HV substation design, construction, and commissioning within live project environments.
- Solid technical knowledge of HV systems and equipment, including switchgear, transformers, protection relays, SCADA, and DC systems.
- Good understanding of HV installation sequences, interfaces, and testing & commissioning requirements.
- Familiarity with Singapore codes, standards, and regulatory requirements, including experience coordinating with local authorities (e.g., SP PowerGrid).
- Proven ability to manage contractors, vendors, and consultants to deliver works safely, on time, and to specification.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coordinate across multidisciplinary teams and external parties.
- Ability to interpret, review, and challenge electrical drawings, specifications, and technical submissions.
- Experience managing project schedules, budgets, and contract scope, with strong commercial awareness.
- Analytical and solution-oriented, with the ability to assess risks and drive practical outcomes.
- Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, site-based environment.
