Export Control Specialist

We are seeking a detail-afine and knowledgeable Export Control Specialist to manage and ensure compliance with export control. This role is critical to safeguarding the company from legal and financial risks while enabling efficient international trade. It incorporates also the Ownership of monitoring and improving Masterdata

• Actively monitor and interpret export control laws and regulations (e.g., EAR, ITAR, OFAC sanctions) applicable to our products and markets.
• Work if necessary with external partners to be up to date and have correct guidance
• Provide export compliance training for employees.
• Classify products and determine export requirements, such as HS-code, Country of Origine, ECCN, BSMI.
• Monitor and Maintain the export-related data in our material master.
• Conduct screening of customers, vendors, and shipments against restricted part lists and embargoed countries.
• Maintain compliance documentation.
• Collaborate with sales, logistics, product specialist and legal teams to ensure export compliance.
• Conduct internal audits and assessments to identify and mitigate compliance risks.
• Stay updated on changes in export regulations and advise management on necessary process adjustments.
• Monitor on regular base the completeness of all master date which are necessary to grant a smooth operational process
• Improve systematics and automation of master data generation
  
  

Meet or exceed goals according to annual target

Education

• Bachelor in engineering ( mechanical / electrical )
• Commercial education is advantageous
• In depth knowledge of international export control regulations
  
  

Work experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in export control compliance, preferably in manufacturing or spare parts distribution.
• Knowledge about Customs processes and regulations in following countries ( TW, CN,US )
  
  

Expertise and methodology

• Ability to analyze complex regulations and apply them practically
• Good user knowledge of standard MS Office applications (Word, Excel)
• Good knowledge of SAP
• Good knowledge of PLM (Agile of Oracle or others)
