Regional Job Scope
Strategic growth and managing business entities across different geographic markets.
Regional Growth Strategy: Developing and executing roadmaps (often 1-2 years) to increase revenue and market share in specific international territories.
Territory & Pipeline Management: Identifying new business opportunities across assigned regions and maintaining a robust sales pipeline of qualified prospects.
Channel & Distributor Management: Establishing and managing overseas distribution channels and regional partnerships, including monitoring their performance and execution.
Strategic Account Development: Managing high-value regional accounts by understanding complex needs and recommending technical fastener solutions (e.g., PEM fasteners).
Market Intelligence: Conducting regional research to stay updated on market shifts, competitor pricing, and regulatory changes in different countries.
On-the-Ground Presence: Frequent international travel to support local market, conduct training workshops, conduct face-to-face client reviews and organize/attend regional trade shows.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Working with marketing, technical and supply chain teams to act on leads.
Data Maintenance: Updating CRM systems (e.g. Asana, Pipedrive, Salesforce) to track sales goals, business trends, and client interactions.
Job Requirements
Experience:
Requires at least 2 years experience in business development or sales, ideally within fasteners, engineering, or industrial manufacturing.
Specific expertise in solution sales and a proven track record of meeting regional KPIs.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or Engineering. Diploma holder with relevant experience is welcome.
Cross-Border Competence:
Mobility: A valid passport and willingness to travel frequently (often 40% or more, as required by business needs).
Languages: Fluency in English is essential proficiency in additional regional languages (e.g., Mandarin) is often a strong asset for managing overseas stakeholders.
Cultural Awareness: Ability to work effectively in multicultural environments and navigate different international business etiquettes.
Technical & Soft Skills:
Expertise in CRM systems like Pipedrive, Salesforce or D365 to manage complex regional sales data.
Strong negotiation and presentation skills to engage with C-level management and large corporate partners.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities across different time zones.
