Job Description

Job Summary

The Expeditor / Buyer is responsible for end-to-end procurement activities, including material and equipment purchasing, supplier coordination, order tracking, and delivery expediting. This role ensures timely sourcing, production, and delivery of materials in compliance with project schedules and quality standards, supporting uninterrupted operations and project execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage procurement of materials and equipment in accordance with project specifications and timelines.

  • Issue purchase orders and ensure accuracy of technical and commercial requirements.

  • Conduct supplier follow-up on order status, production progress, and delivery schedules.

  • Track and expedite orders to ensure on-time delivery to meet project milestones.

  • Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders on documentation (e.g., drawings, datasheets, inspection reports, shipping documents).

  • Monitor supplier performance and proactively identify risks to delivery timelines.

  • Review non-conformity reports (NCRs) and work with suppliers to resolve quality issues.

  • Support supplier audits and ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively.

  • Liaise with QA/QC, engineering, logistics, and project teams to ensure alignment.

  • Maintain accurate procurement records and update tracking systems or reports.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.

  • Minimum [3-5] years of experience in procurement, expediting, or supply chain within the oil and gas or related industry.

  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, supplier management, and expediting practices.

  • Familiarity with technical documentation and quality standards in oil and gas projects.

  • Experience handling non-conformance issues and supplier performance management.

  • Good negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP).

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple orders/projects simultaneously.
