Ensure an efficient and safe operation of assigned North East Line (NEL) station by delivering quality and reliable customer service.
Carry out effective hands-on management of station by handling all problems and matters that may arise in day-to-day station and train operations. This includes monitoring passenger flow and exercising appropriate crowd control actions.
Ensure station specific instructions, crowd control and emergency plans are in place for fast and safe evacuation of passengers when the need arises.
Ensure protection of revenue at station and handle all passenger-ticketing issues.
Continuously review and monitor the performances of train service, staff, equipment and other resources provided to ensure that the agreed safety and customer service standards are met and be responsible for corrective actions when standards deviate.
Act as Incident Officer by taking the overall control of an incident on-site and partake in dealing with critical incidents or emergencies to ensure speedy and safe recovery in a failure situation.
Ensure that all passengers comply with the Rapid Transit Systems (RTS) Regulations.
Perform the duties of an Emergency Train Driver and drive passenger trains (when necessary).
Plan and conduct on-the-job training to trainee(s), new colleague(s).
Perform General Ticketing Machine (GTM) and Top Up Kiosk-A (TUKA) duties such as replenishing Notes / Coins box.
Executive Cash collection runs(s) and run report monthly.
Performance any other duties as directed by supervisor(s).
Job Requirements:
Degree in any discipline with minimum 4 years working experience in senior supervisory role, preferably with experience in station operations, train operations or in the service industry.
Diploma holders with more years in senior supervisory role may also be considered.
Exposure in a technical / engineering environment will have an added advantage.
Possess the ability to still interpret messages from other railway staff and disseminate instructions to correct stakeholders accurately.
Willing to perform shift work.
Able to identify colors.
Able to reach 205cm or more with hands raised all the way up due to the location of pre-installed plungers / switches without the aid of stools / ladders.
