- Order placement
- Verify OA/PI are in accordance with PO, raise disputes with stakeholders for discrepancies in price and quantity
- Follow-up with clients/forwarders on shipment status and shipping documents
- Oversee shipping timeliness, monitor cargo movements and keep relevant stakeholders informed of delivery progress and changes
- Arrange for import/export permit application for cargo clearance
- Coordinate on shipment release and clearance status with authorized clearance agents
- Handle claim for damaged/shortage stocks received
- Maintain complete and accurate records of shipments, including freight charges and customs-related documents
- Verify vendor's invoices and submit to finance for payment
- Handle dispute with carrier/forwarder for incidental costs (e.g. container repair, demurrage & detention fee)
- Perform any other ad hoc assignments as and when assigned
Ability/Competency Required:
- Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent
- Preferably with 1 year relevant working experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain operations.
- Fresh graduates with no experience are welcome to apply.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge on Incoterms and HS Code is an added advantage
- Meticulous, independent and possess a positive working attitude.
