Responsibilities:
Venue & Event Operations: Ensure all public areas, exhibition halls, and event spaces are clean, safe, and ready for use. Coordinate site visits, event signage, and pre-event operational checks. Lead joint inspections with clients and manage the handover/takeover of venue spaces.
Event Execution & Client Support: Fulfill all logistical and technical requirements for events, including equipment setup and on-site coordination. Act as the key operational liaison to ensure smooth event-day execution for organisers.
Vendor & Service Management: Liaise with cleaning, security, and logistics vendors to ensure services are delivered according to agreed standards and timelines.
Safety & Compliance: Conduct regular Fire and Safety inspections, manage crowd control and traffic flow, and proactively resolve hazards. Uphold the highest safety standards for all guests and events.
Emergency Response: Perform duties as a trained First Aider and Company Emergency Response Team (CERT) member to support on-site emergency preparedness and response (training will be provided).
Administrative Support: Raise and track operational work orders efficiently. Support procurement activities, including sourcing vendors, raising purchase orders, and verifying invoices.
Digital Systems Management: Oversee the scheduling and real-time functionality of digital signage systems to ensure clear and timely visitor communication.
Additional Duties: Undertake any other tasks or cross-functional projects as assigned by the Reporting Officer.
Requirements:
Higher NITEC or Diploma in Events Management or related fields.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in event operations.
Strong organizational skills and ability to solve problems under pressure.
High level of integrity and professionalism.
Relevant experience and knowledge of operations and logistics requirements for events and exhibitions.
Meticulous, detailed, resourceful, independent and a team player.
Able to work on rotating shifts including weekends and public holidays.
