Drive the visual experience at The Kallang by designing high-impact motion graphics for our large-scale LED screens and ribbon displays. As a Motion Graphic Designer, you will translate creative briefs into dynamic 2D and 3D visual narratives. You will handle and manage the end-to-end production process, from storyboarding to final asset delivery, ensuring all content performs flawlessly in a fast-paced, event-driven environment.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand project objectives, requirements, and constraints, and translate them into engaging visual narratives.
- Conceptualise, design, and develop motion graphics, animations, and visual effects that effectively communicate key messages.
- Asset Adaptation: Seamlessly adapt native designs to fit non-traditional formats, such as optimizing standard video into ultra-wide resolutions for stadium ribbon boards.
- Produce storyboards, mock-ups, and draft animations to visualise concepts and secure stakeholder alignment where required.
- Create high-quality motion graphics and video content, including 2D and 3D elements, for a variety of applications (primarily short-form content).
- Adapt designs to suit various display formats, including large-scale LED screens and ribbon boards, ensuring optimal visual impact and technical compatibility.
- Manage multiple projects concurrently, prioritising tasks and delivering outputs within tight timelines in a fast-paced, event-driven environment.
- Stay up to date with emerging industry trends, tools, and techniques to continuously enhance creative quality and production efficiency.
- Contribute to team development by sharing knowledge, mentoring junior members and interns, and fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Motion Graphics, Animation, or Multimedia Design with 3–5 years of relevant experience (event-driven or large-screen format experience highly preferred).
- Expert proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator. Strong working knowledge of 3D software (Cinema 4D, Maya, or equivalent). Bonus: Character creation and rigging skills.
- Deep understanding of animation principles, visual storytelling, typography, and composition.
- Proactive problem-solver with strong stakeholder management, communication, and independent project management skills.
- A robust portfolio demonstrating technical proficiency in 2D/3D motion graphics and the ability to work within technical constraints.
