Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

- Act as the main contact point for the new building vessel delivery preparations

  • Coordinating with the ship manager, shipyards, internal departments, etc.
  • Schedule management, assisting the Financial Settlement team with invoice settlement, ceremony arrangements, etc.

- Engage in vessel acquisition and disposal projects

  • Identifying suitable vessels for purchase or construction, negotiating purchase agreements, arranging financing, and managing the sale or scrapping of vessels at the end of their operational life

- Manage the financial aspects of the vessel ownership and operation

  • Instructing the ship manager for the budget preparation, review the submitted budget and report the budget to the corporate, closely monitor the actual result of each vessel, make analysis of the Budget vs Actual, etc.

- Effectively manage internal and external stakeholders to establish ONE's standard procedure of the entire ship-owning activity, prepare and maintain the standardized templates/formats, check-lists, documents, instructions, etc.

- Take proper and quick action when incidents happen, coordinate and discuss with internal/external stakeholders to solve the issues, prepare countermeasures, etc.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in relevant disciplines, preferably in business or maritime studies
  • Minimum 1 - 3 years experience in a shipping company preferably in a ship-owning related department
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, experience with Google Workspace is beneficial
  • Excellent written and spoken English to work effectively in a global environment, creative problem-solving and outstanding communication and negotiation skills
  • Meticulous, responsible, organized, diligent, a go-getter, a strong team player, and a fast learner
  • Possess an analytical and risk-management mindset, able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Experience/knowledge in maritime law, accounting, or vessel operations is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of charter parties, ship-management contracts and other relevant contracts is beneficial
