Job Summary
Prepare and cook pizzas by following recipes and using various ovens, maintain cleanliness and equipment, and coordinate with kitchen and dining staff to ensure smooth operations and quality service.
Responsibilities
- Prepare pizza dough according to established recipes to ensure consistent quality
- Roll out dough and apply toppings accurately following recipe specifications
- Operate wood-fired, gas, and electric pizza ovens safely and efficiently to cook pizzas
- Remove pizzas from ovens and prepare them for serving or sales with attention to presentation
- Clean and maintain countertops to uphold hygiene standards in the work area
- Maintain ovens and cooking utensils by performing regular cleaning and upkeep
- Coordinate with kitchen and dining staff to ensure timely food preparation and service
Required competencies and certifications
- Knowledge of pizza ingredients and recipes to prepare menu items correctly
- Ability to perform pizza making tasks including dough preparation, topping, and cooking
- Ability to operate different types of pizza ovens safely and effectively
